6th District Race: Handel, Moody Release New Ads

6th District candidates Karen Handel and Dan Moody released new digital ads Thursday.

EAST COBB, GA -- With two weeks to go before the special election, the race to represent Georgia's 6th congressional district in Congress is heating up: Candidates Karen Handel and Dan Moody both released new digital ads Thursday.

Handel, Georgia's former Secretary of State, plays off a couple of the other candidates' outdoorsman appeal by using her husband to portray the "gimmicks" such as using a shovel (which Moody did in an earlier ad) and "draining the swamp" as Johns Creek businessman Bob Gray did in an ad last month.

Moody's ad, titled "Honor," position the former state senator as a practical choice with a track record of being in favor of term limits and wanting to repeal Obamacare, something he's hoping 6th District Republicans still feel strongly about.
