Alyssa Milano, Christopher Gorham Campaign For Ossoff In 6th District Race
Celeb sightings as Alyssa Milano and Christopher Gorham have been getting out the vote for District 6 frontrunner Jon Ossoff.
EAST COBB, GA -- District 6 frontrunner Jon Ossoff continues to pull out the big guns as the race to represent the Georgia seat vacated by Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price enters the stretch run.
Ossoff, a first-time candidate, has benefitted from big names in the Democratic Party, such as John Lewis and Nancy Pelosi, on the way to a double-digit lead in the polls with about three weeks to go before the election. Now he's pulling out the celebrities.
Actors Alyssa Milano and Christopher Gorham, both in town while filming a new CW show, were seen recently driving voters to the polls. Early voting started Monday in the 6th District, which encompasses parts of Cobb, Fulton and DeKalb counties.

“I think people are shocked and happy to see us at their doorstep, but I also think they understand how passionate we are about gaining this seat once we show up and ring the bell,” Milano, known for her role in “Charmed,” told the Huffington Post.
Gorham, who starred in "Ugly Betty"said their get-out-the-vote efforts have genuinely shocked voters. “The biggest surprises came on the phone when people realized we were ACTUALLY coming to their house. The initial skepticism was high. Understandably,” he told the HuffPost.

Both of the celebrities have shared their admiration for 30-year-old Ossoff, and his attempt to "flip the 6th" to the Democrats after decades of Republican representation in Congress.

Ossoff, an investigative journalist who served as a congressional aide, is getting his strongest competition from Karen Handel, who enjoys widespread name recognition as a former Secretary of State.
The celebrities' foray into the 6th District hasn't been all about politics. CBS News anchor Sharon Reed posted that a friend of hers fighting breast cancer got a sweet phone call from Milano, brightening her day.
Eighteen candidates are competing in the 6th District race, which will culminate in the April 18 special election. If necessary, a runoff election will take place on June 20.
