EAST COBB, GA -- Days after a tragic wreck took the life of two brothers who attended Lassiter High School in East Cobb, arrest warrants have been issued in the deadly crash, Patch has learned.

James "Jim" Irving Pratt, 18, and Joseph "Joe" Thomas Pratt, 14, were on their way to the dentist on April 24 when their car collided with a Roswell High School bus driven by Charles Talmadge Pitts.

The crash, which happened on on Ga 92 (Woodstock Road), snarled traffic for hours as law enforcement launched an investigation. The Pratts' car hit the bus with such an impact that it was lodged under it. The youths aboard the bus, a handful of disabled students, were uninjured, police said.

The Pratt brothers were remembered during a memorial service April 30 at Piedmont Church in Marietta. The brothers, who were students at Lassiter High School in Marietta, were very involved with NJROTC. They also volunteered at Brumby Elementary School for special events and related after-school activities. Their sister, Lilly, is a junior at Lassiter and also involved in NJROTC.
