Here are the top stories in East Cobb today:

1. A new East Cobb Christian bookstore will hold its grand opening today. At 3 p.m., All Things Inspiration will be holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony to begin a four-day official grand opening. The store previously held a soft opening in March. There will be prizes and savings opportunities happening through this Saturday. The store is located at 2745 Sandy Plains Road, Suite 156. 2. A settlement has been approved by the Cobb County Board of Commissioners toward an Uber driver. The settlement awarded $250,000 to Sharon DeArmond and her attorney. The case involved an unlawful detention incident on Windy Hill Road in 2017. DeArmond claimed in the lawsuit she was unlawfully detained and charged police with illegal search and seizure, false arrest, and causing emotional distress. (East Cobb News)
3. There are five new homes available in the East Cobb area that are worth checking out! A beautiful (and unique!) home surrounded by greenery on Blackland Drive is listed for $650,000 while two townhouses in the same development on Inglenook Walk SE are available.
