Here are the top three stories today in East Cobb:

  1. The Cobb Board of Commissioners put on hold a proposal to rezone a homestead into a self-storage facility. The request was recommended for denial by the Cobb Zoning Staff after many members of the community expressed opposition to the rezoning. The case will be heard in February when the board hears other zoning cases. (East Cobb News)
  2. East Cobb is one of many places celebrating Hanukkah this week. Over the weekend, East Cobb Park saw a Menorah lighting led by Congregation Etz Chaim. The Menorah at the Avenue East Cobb's celebration will see each of its eight candles lit throughout the week until the final day of Hanukkah on Dec. 26. (East Cobb News)
  3. A police officer was injured in a car crash during a chase in Cobb County on Wednesday morning. The officer was in pursuit of another vehicle when the crash happened. Authorities say the officer is recovering. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
