- A Cobb County Chairwoman has been elected to the 2022-2023 Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) Board of Managers. Chairwoman Lisa Cupid has been elected to fill an unexpired term and will represent the association’s third district, which includes the counties of Cobb, Cherokee, DeKalb, Gwinett, and more. - King Springs Elementary School in nearby Smyrna has set a fundraising record for Cobb Schools. The school has already raised $45,000 to support the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge, surpassing the fundraiser's goal of $40,000 months ahead of the final donation tally scheduled for June. The school currently ranks as one of the top 15 schools in the nation for fundraising. (Press Release Desk)
- The YMCA of Metro Atlanta has announced that registration is now open for the 2023 Summer Day Camp. Parents can sign up online or in person for sessions at all 18 metro Atlanta locations, including the McCleskey-East Cobb Family YMCA and the Northeast Cobb Family YMCA in nearby Marietta.
