Chattahoochee Tech Maintains Enrollment
Just under 10,000 students are enrolled on all campuses; the Marietta campus has just under 4,000 students enrolled.

Fall Semester is in full swing at Chattahoochee Technical College, with 9,921 students registered as of Wednesday, Aug. 26.
“We’re continuing to see interest in technical education, especially in our Business, Healthcare, and Welding programs,” Executive Vice President Trina Boteler said. “In addition, Our Move On When Ready student population has grown more than 57 percent in the past year, while our Welding program has grown 79 percent.”

This Fall, 3,908 students registered to take an online course. The Marietta campus maintains the most on-the-ground students with 3,907, and North Metro is next in line with 2,963. The Canton Campus serves 869 students, while the Paulding Campus has 840 students and the Mountain View Campus is home to 766 students. The Appalachian Campus has 408 students while Woodstock, which just reopened following a renovation, has 316 students.
Up from last year is the number of students attending our location at the Bartow County College and Career Academy, which has jumped to 75. In addition, there are 13 students taking courses through a partnership with Cartersville High School.

As with Fall 2014, online courses continue to be the most popular form of instruction among students.
“The versatility of our online courses continues to be a draw for students balancing work, family, and higher education,” President Dr. Ron Newcomb said.
Programs available online include Accounting, Business Administrative Technology, Business Management, Criminal Justice Technology, Fire Science, Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Marketing Management. Courses are delivered online include content and instruction off campus except for one proctored event completed in person. Online course offerings are also popular in other programs, as well as hybrid and web enhanced instructional offerings.
New this year is the Barbering program, with the first course this Fall being taught online.
“The new programs that we offer and plan to offer in the near future are aligned with industry standards and based on the projected growth of industries in Georgia,” Boteler said.
In addition, the Woodstock Campus will celebrate its grand reopening and the relocation of the Associate Science of Nursing program to the Paulding Campus was completed in time for this Fall Semester.
