Here are the top three stories today in East Cobb:
- The East Cobb cityhood committee has been fined by the Georgia Ethics Board. The committee failed to submit financial disclosure reports before the May primary. The committee has been ordered to pay a $5,000 fine for the violation. Bob Lax, an opponent of the cityhood proposal, filed the complaint. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- Chopt will be opening a new East Cobb location in November. The store will be located at 4250 Roswell Rd, Suite 630 with an opening date of Nov. 9. The store will offer salads, wraps, and bowls to customers. The popular salad brand is known for offering high-quality ingredients through a rotating menu. (Yahoo News)
- Cobb County 911 is implementing numerous changes to attract new employees. The 911 center is emphasizing recruiting while offering increased pay and an improved hiring process. The center hopes that the improvements will alleviate the ongoing staffing shortage while reducing some of the stress for current employees. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
