  1. The Cobb Chamber held its 81st Annual Dinner last weekend to celebrate a successful 2022. With over 1,000 business and community leaders in attendance, departing Chairwoman Britt Fleck of Georgia Power passed the role onto 2023 Chairman Greg Teague of Croy Engineering. Outstanding community leaders were recognized with awards for their work with Chamber initiatives, programming, and service to their community. (Cobb County Courier)
  2. An assailant has been charged with sexual assault of a minor and is in custody. The event took place on Jan. 22 when the man allegedly approached the 12-year-old girl at Shaw Park. He is being charged with five felony counts and remains at the Cobb Adult Detention Center without bond. (East Cobb News)
  3. Cobb Board of Elections and Registration Director, Janine Eveler, is retiring. After 18 years with Cobb Elections and 12 years as director, she will step down from her position after the municipal elections in March. The county is beginning its search immediately for her replacement. (East Cobb News)
