  1. Caleb Becker of Cobb County is charged with assault and battery after a woman claimed he attacked her in a hotel room. According to the woman, whose name was not released, Becker was an old friend of hers. He reportedly punched and stomped on the woman's face, tried to drown her in the toilet, and held a knife to her throat. (WSB-TV 2)
  2. Last week marked the second annual stakeholders' roundtable meeting on Dobbins Air Reserve Base. Cobb County Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Lisa Cupid hosted the meeting, which offered attendees the opportunity to exchange ideas about the base and its future in the community. "The meeting allowed those in attendance to reaffirm our support for the base and each other's interests," said Cupid. "Working together, we can help ensure the success of Dobbins moving forward."   3. The Cobb County Public Library has published a new, interactive Read Around The World map!
