Here are the top three stories today in East Cobb:
- Attention Cobb County voters: Saturday, Nov. 26, has been added in Cobb as an Advance Voting day for the U.S. Senate runoff on Dec. 6. The move follows Fulton and DeKalb counties, after a court ruling last week allowed county elections offices to hold early voting on Saturday. A runoff was called after neither Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock nor Republican Herschel Walker could get 50 percent plus one vote in the general election. (East Cobb News)
- A Metro court clerk for the Cobb County Superior Court has been accused of ordering employees to delete public files tied to passport fees. Last week, the Cobb County Board of Commissioners received a whistleblower complaint that accused Connie Taylor of ordering her employee to delete passport fee records after the office received an open records request. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into Taylor, who has served as the Cobb County Superior Court Clerk for two years. (WSBTV)
