- Tomorrow afternoon, the Cobb Board of Commissioners will hear a proposed plan to assign trash haulers to specific portions of the county. The proposal, designed to alleviate ongoing collection issues across Cobb, would designate single haulers to each of four designated zones. Some citizens have spoken out against the plan, saying they are happy with their current haulers; smaller hauling companies have also expressed concerns they will be put out of business if the new plan passes. - Cobb County is currently accepting applications for the latest round of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. These funds are intended for projects that will fill a need in the community, including county infrastructure, community health, and public safety.
