Cops: Finger Detached During Fight with East Cobb Man

An East Cobb man is accused of biting off the left index finger of another man during an altercation.
The disagreement between Michael Juwan Rodgers and the other man occurred between 11:30 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of Clay Drive, according to a Cobb County criminal warrant.
"During a physical altercation with (the victim), the accused did bite the left index finger of (the victim)," authorities wrote in the warrant. "The finger, just above the middle knuckle, became entire(ly) detached by the bite, and was unable to be re-attached by medical staff."

Additionally, the victim allegedly had bite marks on his upper right bicep and his back.
Rodgers, whose home address is listed on booking reports as being in the 1500 block of Terrell Mill Road, was arrested Thursday on charges of battery and aggravated battery. He remains in the Cobb County Jail without bond, according to online jail records.
