  1. The two Cobb sheriff's deputies killed on Thursday night have been identified. 42-year-old Jonathan Randall Koleski and 38-year-old Marshall Samuel Ervin Jr. were fatally shot while attempting to serve a warrant. Koleski and Ervin were both married; Ervin also leaves behind two children. Two suspects in the incident were arrested and booked into the Cobb County Jail without bond. (WTVM 9)
  2. In case you missed it: Sunday hours are back at four Cobb County Public Library branches. The Mountain View Library and Switzer Library in Marietta, the South Cobb Library in Mableton, and the West Cobb Library in Kennesaw are all open on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. To stay up to date on your local library's hours and happenings, visit the Cobb County Public Library website.   3. If you're looking for some live music, head over to The Avenue East Cobb this Friday (Sep. 16) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the Electric Avenue Concert series. Attendees can bring their own food or purchase from nearby restaurants; outside drinks are not allowed. (East Cobb News)
