  1. A Chick-Fil-A in East Cobb will be closed for two weeks to expand its drive-thru service. Brian Baldwin, the operations manager for Chick-Fil-A Lassiter at 3046 Shallowford Road, did not specify what the renovations would entail but assured customers that the play area for kids will remain. (East Cobb News)
  2. The Avenue East Cobb announced its free Galentine's Day event for women on Feb. 13 to celebrate "the power of female friendship." The event will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the “Babe Cave,” between Tin Lizzy’s and Chico’s. The celebration includes a "stroll map" of special sales from participating retailers and restaurants as well as "photos with a group of huggable llamas that will be roaming the property."   3. On Tuesday, Feb. 28, Cobb County Public Library is hosting a special event with acclaimed author Wanda M. Morris. Participate in a unique book discussion with Morris about her debut novel, "All Her Little Secrets" and her most recent novel, "Anywhere You Run." All are welcome to attend and light refreshments will be provided by the Cobb Library Foundation. Morris’s books will also be available for purchase and signing after the discussion.
