Here are the top three stories in East Cobb today:

1. On Sunday, Sep. 10, the branches of the East Cobb YMCA will be participating in the Annual Days of Service. This volunteer event will be held in conjunction with the Metro Atlanta YMCA. The McCleskey-East Cobb YMCA will have volunteers working together to create an outdoor mural, while those at The Northeast Cobb Family YMCA will devote their time to beautifying the grounds themselves. In addition, volunteers can assemble hygiene kits and make blankets for children. (East Cobb News)
2. The Eastminster Presbyterian is celebrating 50 years as part of the East Cobb community. The Presbyterian Church had its first ever service back on Oct. 1, 1971. Now, 50 years later, churchgoers and officials are planning a celebration for their community. Events over the weekend will include a catered, invitation-only lunch, a special Sunday service, and a lunch for the entire congregation. (Longview News-Journal)
3. The East Cobb housing market continues to offer up a unique variety of gorgeous homes throughout the area. The Marietta area in particular has newly available properties that will impress any potential homeowner.
