Amy Henry, Walton High School Parent, To Run For Cobb County School Board In 2022
Amy Henry, who was also a leader of the CCSD Parent Alliance, will run as a Republican for the seat held by Charisse Davis, a Democrat.

EAST COBB, GA — An East Cobb parent filed her declaration last week to run for the Cobb County School District Board of Education in 2022.
Amy Henry, a mother of four children in the Walton High School cluster, will run as a Republican in Post 6, according to the Georgia Campaign Finance Commission — the seat currently held by first-term Democrat Charisse Davis, who has not yet announced a run for reelection.
According to East Cobb News, Henry was the leader of a group called "Let Parents Choose," which later changed its name to CCSD Parent Alliance. The group pushed for in-person learning at the start of the 2020-21 school year, and Henry also spoke at Cobb school board meetings pushing for a mask-optional policy before the district decided to rescind its mask mandate.
