- Have your eye on a certain property in East Cobb? Here's a list of all the deeds for residential East Cobb real estate sales that were filed from Aug. 29-Sep. 2 with the Cobb Superior Court Clerk’s Office Real Estate Department. - This October, the Marietta History Center will be hosting the On Doing History program with a featured guest. On Oct. 1, Architectural Historian Marietta Monaghan, PhD., will speak about historical architecture and discuss how guests can apply this field to their own lives. The event will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Marietta History Center located at 1 Depot Street. (Cobb County Courier)
- Following the passing of Senate Bill 588, Cobb County's Board of Education has approved rules to stop disruptions during meetings. The new policy, intended to crack down on people who disrupt their meetings, prohibits the use or display of abusive or offensive language, blocking a person’s entrance or exit, threats, and “jeers, shouting, disruptive noises, or any other means an attendee may use to disrupt the meeting.” The vote followed two separate meetings where members of the public in the audience shouted in response to what was happening.
