- Local restaurant food scores have been released by the Cobb & Douglas Department of Public Health for the week of Aug. 8. Bad Gyal Vegan, Marietta Square Market—Warewashing, Crème de la Crepe, and Ponko Chicken — all located at 68 N. Marietta Parkway — received A grades. - An East Cobb audiologist was recognized by Cobb Young Professionals (CYP). Dr. Melissa Wikoff, the founder and director of audiology at Peachtree Hearing, was recently named a Next Generation Award winner by CYP, the Cobb Chamber of Commerce’s networking and development arm for professionals in their 20s and 30s. According to the Cobb Chamber, "winners and nominees are all in their 20s or 30s, active within their community, demonstrate leadership ability in the community and in their current role, and offer a unique perspective."
