East Cobb Teen Beaten with Cord

Theresa Sogbe is accused of striking the teen multiple times with an electrical cord as punishment, according to a Cobb County criminal warrant.

A 15-year-old girl was beaten with an electrical cord so so severely that marks on her forearms and thighs remained seven days after the incident.

The alleged abuse occurred at 8 p.m. April 18 in a unit at the Grand Villas Apartments.

Theresa Sogbe is accused of striking the teen multiple times with an electrical cord as punishment, according to a Cobb County criminal warrant.

Sogbe was arrested Thursday on a charge of battery. She was released Friday afternoon from the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on a $2,500 bond.
