East Cobb Woman Named Chamber COO

Sharon Mason of East Cobb is the new chief operating officer of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce.

Mason, who had been a vice president for membership, is now second in command at the chamber, which has 35 employees and represents more than 2,600 business in Cobb.

For the moment, Mason is working with the United 4 Kids campaign that is advocating passage of the March 19 Cobb Education SPLOST.

In a profile last week in The Marietta Daily Journal, she talked about the connection between business and education.

She and her family live in the Timber Ridge Elementary School area.
