Event to Honor Late NASA Coach

The Coach Jay Yeah Baby 10K/5K/Mohawk Mile will be held on Sunday.

The East Cobb-based North Atlanta Soccer Association will hold the second 10K, 5K and 1 mile run next Sunday in memory of Jay Ingram, the Kennesaw Charter Science and Math Academy soccer coach and physical education teacher who was struck and killed by a vehicle while jogging in January 2012.

The Coach Jay Yeah Baby 10K/5K/Mohawk Mile will be held at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, April 21, at the NASA United Quest Soccer Fields, 605 Hawkins Store Road in Kennesaw.

The event will benefit Kate's Club, which helps children and teens face life after the death of a parent or a sibling. A portion of the proceeds will go to Ingram's wife, Corinne, and their two children, Aiden and Kailyn.
