UPDATE: Over One Dozen Apartment Units Destroyed in Marietta Fire
Fire department personnel cannot yet confirm whether an explosion took place prior to the fire breaking out, a city spokeswoman said.

Firefighters are tackling a significant fire at the Crestmont Apartments off of Bells Ferry Road on Monday morning.
City spokeswoman Lindsey Wiles told Patch that firefighters arrived on scene at approximately 10 a.m. and confirmed that the unit is fully involved as of 11:30 a.m. Wiles said that crews will have to put out the blaze before investigators can determine whether an explosion occurred at the complex, as WSB-TV reports. Wiles said that three people suffered non-serious injuries and were transported to Kennestone Hospital.
Wiles said that approximately 20 units were damaged by the fire, with 16 of them declared a total loss.
