Here are the top three stories in East Cobb today:
- A suspect has been arrested and charged in the case of concealing a woman's death in Cobb County. 40-year-old Amanda Sharpe's body was found at a Cobb County construction site off Ivey Road last Friday. 27-year-old Jack Schell was arrested for the crime. He has been charged with concealing a, tampering with evidence, credit card theft, and drug charges. He is currently held at Cobb County Jail without bond, and no motive has been released. (Patch)
- Atlanta's National Weather Service is warning East Cobb residents to bundle up against the brutally cold weather. Most of north and central Georgia were included in a freeze warning, which began Tuesday night. Although the freeze warning officially ended Wednesday morning, officials are still cautioning residents to exercise extreme caution, as overnight temperatures are expected to be at or below freezing for the rest of the week.
