Join Us for a Business Workshop to Benefit Animals and Communities!

Are you looking for ways to improve your nonprofit's policies, fundraising, public relations, and social media presence? Do you want to learn from experienced professionals who are passionate about animal welfare and community engagement? If so, you won't want to miss our upcoming business workshop on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. at ROAM Perimeter Center in Atlanta, GA.

Presented by the Helen Woodward Animal Center and hosted by Good Mews Animal Foundation, this workshop will feature a variety of sessions designed to help you become an innovative organization that can meet the changing needs of animals and people in your community.   1. An Inspirational Discussion with Mike Arms Mike Arms is a renowned animal welfare advocate and leader who has spent decades working to save animals' lives and promote responsible pet ownership. In this session, he will share his insights and stories about how to shift your way of thinking and adapt your policies to become an innovative organization that can make a real difference in the lives of animals and people.
  2. Proven Fundraising Methods Fundraising is essential for any nonprofit that wants to grow and sustain its programs and services. In this session, you'll learn how to build your donor base and diversify your fundraising strategies, while marketing planned giving options, including the donation of appreciated assets. You'll also take steps to develop a program that will help your organization keep your donors current and your connections strong.
  3. Creative, Out-of-the-Box Public Relations Getting the media to focus on your organization can be a challenge, especially if you're competing with other nonprofits and businesses for attention. In this session, you'll learn how to develop little-to-no-cost PR event concepts that will have the media talking about your organization. You'll also discover unique ideas that can help you stand out from the crowd and showcase your mission and impact.
  4. Social Media Best Practices Social media is a powerful tool for engaging with supporters, raising awareness about your mission, and promoting your programs and services. In this session, you'll learn how to convert fans into champions of your organization by effectively communicating your organization's mission in social media spaces. You'll also discover how to engage an online audience through excellent online customer service, helpful to-do's, and creative content.
