Ground Clearing at East Cobb Health Park

Work crews are busy clearing 23 acres of ground for WellStar Health System's East Cobb Health Park.

As East Cobb Patch reported in February, WellStar's revised plans for the $73 million, 162,000-square-foot facility call for access on Roswell Road, instead of Providence Road, as was originally proposed.

WellStar also included final architectural renderings of the multi-purpose, outpatient complex to an East Cobb ciizens advisory committee in February.

While those renderings include planting of several types of trees, any existing trees were cleared across the property as the grading began.

Construction is expected to begin in May, with completion scheduled for September 2014.
