How, When, Where To Recycle Christmas Trees In East Cobb
Christmas trees can be dropped off at participating Home Depot stores in Cobb County as part of the Bring One for the Chipper program.

EAST COBB, GA — As Christmas comes and goes, you may wonder when is the best time to put out your live Christmas tree on the curb. Depending on how early you got your tree, it may be starting to dry out.
Here are a few options for East Cobb residents to recycle their live Christmas trees:
Keep Cobb Beautiful, an affiliate of the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation, is once again participating in the annual "Bring One for the Chipper" live Christmas tree recycling program.

Residents can bring their live Christmas trees — stripped of all decorations — to the following Cobb locations through Jan. 8 to be recycled. No "flocked" trees will be accepted:
- Home Depot
- 2350 Dallas Highway, Marietta
- 4101 Roswell Road NE, Marietta
- 3605 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta
- 1655 Shiloh Road, Kennesaw
- 449 Roberts Court NW, Kennesaw
- 1062 Richard Sailors Parkway, Powder Springs
- 1200 East-West Connector, Austell
- 3355 Cobb Parkway, Acworth
- Fullers Park, 3499 Robinson Road, Marietta
Since its inception, the program has recycled 6 million Christmas trees statewide. Mulch from the trees has been used for playgrounds, local government beautification projects and residents' yards. To receive free mulch from the trees, email keepcobbbeautiful@cobbcounty.org.

Big John's Christmas Trees will also provide tree recycling and removal services for varying prices depending on the tree size:
- Nine feet or less: $65
- Nine feet to 10 feet: $75
- All trees over 10 feet tall will be individually priced

The National Fire Protection Association recommends taking your Christmas tree outside after Christmas or when the tree is dried out, as dried-out trees can create a fire hazard. Dried-out trees should not be left inside a home or garage or leaning against a home.
