I-75 At Barrett Pkwy. Lane Closures In Cobb County This Weekend
These closures are needed to perform rehabilitation of the I-75 southbound Bridge over Barrett Parkway, according to the GDOT.

COBB COUNTY, GA—Georgia Department of Transportation contractors plan to close lanes on I-75 northbound over Barrett Parkway this weekend in Cobb County.
Weather permitting, GDOT officials said these are the scheduled traffic impacts on I-75 northbound in proximity of the SR 5 Connector/Barrett Parkway:
- Traffic will be paced and one left lane will be closed from 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7 until 5 a.m. on Saturday for restriping, and
- One right lane will be closed from 5 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8 until 5 a.m. on Sunday for placement of barrier wall.
These closures are needed to perform rehabilitation of the I-75 southbound Bridge over Barrett Parkway, according to the GDOT. This project will provide rehabilitation of the I-75 northbound and southbound bridges over Barrett Parkway, including bridge joint replacement, deck overhang repairs, replacement of anchor bolts, and painting of the superstructures. This $4.280 million project is scheduled for completion on March 31, 2020.

GDOT officials said message boards will give drivers advance notice of the upcoming traffic pacing and lane closures. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use signed detours, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
