Here are the top three stories in East Cobb today:
- From Dec. 22 through Jan. 7, our neighbors at the Switzer Library will be hosting Fox in a Box. This interactive banner exhibit teaches about important events throughout the Fox Theatre's lengthy history. The exhibit will teach viewers about how Fox Theatre played a part in everything from the Civil Rights movement to the local economy. There will be supplemental programming offered as well. (Cobb County Public Library via Facebook)
- Ms. Vangie from Sparrow's Nest stopped by Cobb County Library to spend time with some students. Ms. Vangie taught lacing skills to children and showed them how to build towers. They also hunted for buried treasure, made Christmas trees, and more. To top off the fun experience, the students got to play with peppermint and cinnamon-scented Play-Doh. The special holiday event ended with a soothing seasonal story time. (Cobb County Public Library via Facebook)
- This Saturday, Tru Beauti will teach you the tricks of the makeup trade. At Slay Your Face, you'll learn how to do one of three different eyeshadow techniques, as well as foundation application. The techniques and products change weekly, so you can keep going back to learn more. They also offer makeup events for birthday, bridal showers, and more. (AllEvents)
