It's Time to Start Talking Football

The Cobb Chamber's Pigskin Preview breakfast at Indian Hills highlights this week's East Cobb events.

Even when they get down to business, East Cobb business leaders aren't always all business.

For its late summer quarterly breakfast, the East Cobb Area Council of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce has created a highly anticipated event on its schedule when it invites local high school football coaches to talk about the upcoming season.

The 2013 season will be the subject of this Wednesday's Pigskin Preview breakfast from 7:45 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Indian Hills Country Club.

The six East Cobb-area coaches (and some of their players) are the special guests: Derek Cook, Kell; Jep Irwin, Lassiter; Matt Kemper, Pope; Billy Shackelford, Sprayberry; Rocky Hidalgo, Walton and Mike Collins, Wheeler.

Kell and Walton will be playing the in the season-opening Corky Kell Classic at the Georgia Dome on Aug. 24. (Here's the full schedule for all six East Cobb teams)

The cost for the event is $35 general admission; $15 for chamber members online by 12 p.m. Monday and $25 at the door.
