Kids Wander from Windy Hill Road Apartment

An East Cobb man was arrested Friday night after a 2-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl wandered away from a Windy Hill Road apartment complex.

Raheim Charles Williams was supposed to watch his girlfriend's three children at the Belmont Place Apartments & Gardens, according to an arrest warrant.

While an 8-month-old child was still in the apartment, "accused admitted to not knowing that the 2-year-old male juvenile and the 3-year-old female juvenile were no longer in the apartment," according to the warrant. "Other individuals who found the two children stated that they could not find the children’s parents, and that they kept the kids safe for approximately one hour before said accused could be made aware."

Williams was arrested Friday on one count of contributing to the deprivation of a minor, a misdemeanor offense. He was released early Saturday on $2,500 bond.
