- A man was arrested at an East Cobb Wendy’s location on Monday night. The suspect was arrested by Cobb Police after he allegedly threatened to kill another man with a knife amid an argument at the Wendy’s located at 2238 Roswell Road. 30-year-old Anthony O’Bryant Brown has been charged with one felony count of aggravated assault, according to his arrest warrant. (East Cobb News)
- In a recent press release, the Cobb County Chamber has announced its 33rd annual GOSH (Give Our Schools A Hand) events. Three events saluting education in Cobb County will be held in October — the Handprint Unveiling Ceremony on Oct. 6, and the Teachers of the Year breakfast and pep rally, both on Oct. 25. The public is invited to attend the Handprint Unveiling Ceremony at The Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre in Marietta Square, where the two honored teachers will leave their handprint legacy on the Teacher Walk of Honor; however, the breakfast is invitation-only. - An existing Starbucks in Paper Mill Village could become a two-story, standalone coffee shop with a drive-thru lane. The new proposal is according to filings with the Cobb Zoning Office in an application scheduled to be heard by the Cobb Planning Commission on Oct. 4. The application states that the building would be around 5,000 square feet and the Starbucks would be open from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. seven days a week. (East Cobb News)

- Leaders from across Cobb are helping the county celebrate a big 25-year milestone — Cobb has received a AAA credit rating for 25 consecutive years! Only about 1.5 percent of counties nationwide can claim this distinction, and Cobb has done it for 25 years. (Twitter)
