  1. Over the weekend, an East Cobb synagogue was targeted by anti-Semites with Nazi paraphernalia. The synagogue, Chabad of Cobb, released a statement on Saturday night thanking those in support and sharing that it had been in communication with Cobb County officials, who identified the anti-Semitic individuals as part of a small group operating around the country to spread hate.   2. Cobb County Parks is currently seeking food, arts, and culture vendors for the upcoming 2023 International Festival. The festival celebrating the best traditional food, music, and art from around the world in the community will take place on Saturday, Aug. 26 from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Vendor applications can be found here and are due by Friday, Jul. 14.   3. The 4th of July is coming up soon, which makes it the perfect time to review the state of Georgia and Marietta's rules regarding fireworks. Under Georgia law, any person 18 years of age or older can use, ignite, cause to be ignited, possess, manufacture, transport, or store consumer fireworks. K-12 students who check out and read five books will earn one free youth ticket to a select Hawks game during the 2023-2024 season, plus a free bookmark.
