Marietta Fire Department personnel evacuated two buildings after an ice cream plant spilled 20 to 25 gallons of ammonia on Friday afternoon, according to a spokesman.

The spokesman tells Patch that the spill occurred in a purpose-built ammonia storage building separate from the rest of the Talenti ice cream complex and will be allowed to evaporate naturally back into the atmosphere.
