Marietta Pedestrian Killed in Saturday Collision
A 65-year-old Marietta man died at a local hospital after he was hit by a car trying to cross Powder Springs Road Saturday night, police say

A Marietta man is dead after Cobb County police say he was hit by a car while walking across Powder Springs Road on Saturday night.
Robert C. Smith, 65, was pronounced dead at WellStar Cobb Hospital as a result of injuries he sustained when he was struck by a 2004 Infiniti G35 near Curtis Road just before 11 p.m., spokeswoman Alicia Chilton said.
The driver of the Infiniti, 24-year old Mauricio J. Segovia Zeballos of Dallas and his 26-year-old passenger Sindy G. Rabanales Hidalgo of Marietta, were uninjured in the collision, Chilton said.

Police do not expect to file charges in this case, according to Chilton.
