  1. Marietta U.S. Rep. Lucy McBath voted in favor of the Respect for Marriage Act, which nationally codifies same-sex marriage rights. McBath represents the 6th Congressional District. Though the bill received a 258-169-1 majority vote, it awaits President Biden's signature. (East Cobb News)
  2. A man charged with killing two sheriff's deputies in Cobb County pleaded guilty to murder charges. Christopher Patrick Golden, 30, was sentenced to two life sentences without parole. Deputies Jonathan Randall Koleski, 42, and Marshall Samuel Ervin Jr., 38, were serving a warrant for Golden's uncle when he shot them on Sep. 8. (East Cobb News)
  3. The fourth annual Jewish-Christian understanding project returns to Atlanta for the holidays, including in the East Cobb area. The project aims to increase interfaith awareness and education. (East Cobb News)
