New Eastvalley Elementary School To Open In 2023
A new Eastvalley Elementary School is the next major project on the fifth Ed-SPLOST list with a $31.6 million rebuild.

EAST COBB, GA — The new Eastvalley Elementary School will open for the 2023-24 school year, Cobb County School District officials announced last week.
The $31.6 million elementary school rebuild is the next major project on the fifth iteration of the Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax project list, which was passed by voters in 2017. The new school will be on the grounds of the old East Cobb Middle School, which is expected to be demolished by December.
The new Eastvalley building is projected to be 136,110 square feet with 61 classrooms, and could hold about 962 students, East Cobb News reported. Eastvalley parents have brought up overcrowding issues at the school's campus on Lower Roswell Road, which was built in the 1960s to hold about 400 students — and enrollment at Eastvalley for 2021-22 is over 700 students.
