Organic Farmers Market Opens Near East Cobb
The new Roswell Farmers Market also has gluten-free items.

Roswell Patch blogger Renea Winchester recently wrote about the opening of the Roswell Farmers Market, which specializes in organic and gluten-free products:
A New Farmers Market has opened in Roswell at 555 Atlanta Street in Founders Square. Shannon Gowland and her husband, Win, opened The Roswell Farmers Market to take the guesswork out of buying organic.
Gowland has personally interviewed the farmers, oftentimes visiting the fields where vegetables are grown. Shoppers are guaranteed produce that is free of pesticides and genetic modification. Shannon is a mother who walks the walk, raising food for her family and now, finding healthy and nutritious food for yours.
For those with gluten and dairy intolerance, The Roswell Farmers Market offers baked goods from 2BWhole, a gluten-free European Bakery owned by Toula Argentis.
Â
Located conveniently in Founders Square behind Chaplins, shoppers can pop in, pick up what they need, or order a box of produce and have it delivered to their home. Meats and dairy are certified organic and free of antibiotics or hormones. A visit to the Roswell Farmers Market is more than a trip to pick up groceries; it is also an opportunity to help your neighbor.Â
During my first visit I met Ellie Karlsen, who suffers from neurofibromatosis, a condition which causes tumors to grow on her beautiful face. Miss Ellie needs surgery, now, as soon as possible, to remove the tumors and realign her jaw. Ellie and her mom, Jan, sew aprons which they sell to raise money for Ellie’s surgery. Shannon has also stocked the shelves with a variety of soaps, herbs, and coffee. What more could Roswell need?  Well, a juice bar and lunch counter, which will be opening soon.
