  1. The metro area has over 500 rentals coming soon to aid in housing affordability. General contractor Swinerton is working on four local projects: The Diamond Apartments in College Park, The Millery in Mableton, East Cobb Walk in Marietta, and Hearthside Lawrenceville, a senior living community in Gwinnett County. The projects total around $100 million and are hoping to help bring affordable housing to the area this year. (Urbanize Atlanta)
  2. Last week, over 90 mothers and daughters from East Cobb teamed up to prepare sandwiches for those needing food assistance in metro Atlanta. The group made 500 sandwiches total with help from The National Charity League of East Cobb and Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. The goal of the project and The National Charity League of East Cobb is to serve the local community while also growing mother-daughter relationships. (MDJ Online)
  3. Attention Cosplay and Sci-Fi fans: TODAY is the MiniCon 2023 at Sewell Mill Library and Cultural Center from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.! There will be panels, photo booths, role-playing demonstrations, theatrical performances, and more. You can find the line-up of panels here, beginning with Voice Acting at 11:00 a.m. The event is free and open to all ages! (East Cobb News)
