The Pope Robotics Team will be forming for the 2013-2014 academic year in preparation for FIRST Robotics Competition, and interested students are invited to attend an informational meeting next month.
FIRST -- For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology -- involves students interested in applying their knowledge of mathematics, science and technology concepts to design, build, test, and compete with robots and to learn more about possible careers in those fields.
In addition, they'll develop valuable design, project management, programming, teamwork and strategic thinking skills.
