Publix To Close GreenWise Market Location In East Cobb
The Sandy Plains Road location of Publix's GreenWise Market store will shutter this weekend, about 18 months after its opening day.
EAST COBB, GA — Publix will shutter its GreenWise Market location in East Cobb this weekend, after roughly 18 months of serving the community, according to multiple news outlets.
The last day to shop at the Sandy Plains Road location of GreenWise Market will be Saturday, East Cobb News reported. That store, which spans over 25,000 square feet, opened in June 2020 and has served as the anchor for the Sandy Plains Marketplace shopping center.
GreenWise Market stores were designed to be Publix's version of Whole Foods Market and The Fresh Market, according to Tomorrow's News Today Atlanta (ToNeTo ATL), offering a wider variety of natural, organic offerings than a typical Publix store. GreenWise Market locations also have fresh-made burritos, sushi, acai bowls, smoothies and pizza.
