  1. Officials from the Cobb Fire and Emergency Rescue Services have announced a teenage boy died after an incident on Wednesday. Two teenage boys fell into a partially frozen lake off Ellison Lakes Drive in nearby Kennesaw and help arrived at the scene around 5:15 p.m. One boy was rescued and the other was not found until 6:50 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the hospital.   2. Good news for foodies in the East Cobb area: Food scores completed the week of Dec. 26 have come back with high ratings. A Tasty Touch in Roswell, Arbor Terrace of East Cobb, Atlanta Country Club, and more have all received ratings of "A" after health inspections this week.   3. The Cobb County Police Department is currently hiring mandated deputies who are looking for positions on the road and out of the jail. Deputies will not have to go through the police academy and will start at a $50,377 salary. Other perks of the job include a take home car, four day work week, overtime pay, and more.
