Tokyo Valentino Adult Store On Johnson Ferry Closed By Court
The East Cobb adult store, open more than a year, was closed by court order over the weekend.

EAST COBB, GA — An East Cobb adult store that’s drawn controversy since it opened last year drew a court order to close it over the weekend.
According to a ruling issued late Friday in Cobb Superior Court, Tokyo Valentino on Johnson Ferry Road not only did not have the right kind of business license, it had been staying open past midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Cobb County requires sexually oriented businesses to be closed between midnight and 6 a.m. The order to close followed a hearing Tuesday by Judge LaTain Kell, according to East Cobb News.
As of Monday afternoon, the news website reported, Tokyo Valentino was locked up, with a handwritten sign in on its doors urging customers to visit other nearby locations in Marietta and Sandy Springs.

Tokyo Valentino’s East Cobb location has been the target of opposition for months, with government officials arguing that it misrepresented what kind of business it was before it opened in 2020. In June of last year, Cobb commissioners changed regulations for adult businesses in response, then pulled Tokyo Valentino’s business license a few months later.
