Walton Tennis Coach Retires Unbeaten

Roberta Manheim hasn't lost a match as the varsity girls tennis coach at , and now she never will.

The eight-year coach of the Lady Raiders is stepping down before the spring season, ending her coaching career at Walton with a 147-0 record in matches and , the Marietta Daily Journal reported.

Christina Page, Walton's junior varsity coach, will take over the varsity in January, the MDJ said.

Under Manheim, the Walton girls , and the team was inducted into the Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame this summer.

Three players from last year's 12-girl varsity roster—Emily Harte, Melissa Mashburn and Ansley Bridges—are expected back this year, the MDJ said, so Page will have to reload with players she coached in 2011 on the JV team. That team went 11-0.
