- Early voting began on Monday for East Cobb, and officials are working to make the process as fast and easy for everyone as possible. Cobb Elections and the county government’s GIS office have created an estimated wait-time map for early voting, which ends on Nov. 4. The map will allow voters to see how long they'll have to wait to vote, and adjust their schedules accordingly. Click here to see it for yourself. (East Cobb News)

- A former Georgia Tech basketball star has opened a new sports lounge in Northeast Cobb. Bar 44 opened its doors next week in a ribbon-cutting ceremony, which featured co-owner Alade Aminu. Besides being a legendary basketball player at Georgia Tech, Aminu also played for a time with the Miami Heat. The restaurant will serve as a high-end sports lounge with cocktails, finger food, and a hookah bar. (East Cobb News)
