Here are the top three stories today in Gainesville:

  1. Two people were shot in a road rage incident in Gainesville and the shooter is now in custody, according to police. The victims have minor injuries, and traffic in the area was impacted due to the police presence. (WSB Atlanta)
  2. Three people were hospitalized after a sports car lost control and crashed into a minivan on Aviation Boulevard in Gainesville on Wednesday, Mar. 15. The two occupants of the sports car were taken to the hospital in critical condition while the driver of the minivan was in stable condition; Aviation Boulevard was closed as investigators were on the scene.   3. The Gainesville-Hall County Meals on Wheels helps elderly residents feel less alone by keeping them and their pets together. The City of Gainesville is hosting a pet food drive from Apr. 3-28 to benefit Meals on Wheels clients' cats and dogs. Donations of dry cat and dog foods can be dropped off at the Main Street tent at Mutts on Main on Mar. 25 or at any of the designated drop-off locations at the link from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until Apr. 28.
