2 Accused Of Robbing Multiple Gwinnett, Forsyth ATMs; Suspect At Large

Police said Tuesday several hundred thousand dollars were robbed from ATMs in Norcross, Duluth and Forsyth County.

GWINNETT — An Atlanta man was arrested while a Texas man is at large after Gwinnett County Police say they were responsible for multiple ATM robberies totaling several hundred thousand dollars across two counties.

Police said Tuesday the first robbery happened on Sept. 9 at a Jimmy Carter Boulevard bank in Norcross. The two accused men robbed an ATM technician while he was repairing the machine, police said.

Four days later, investigators learned a similar robbery occurred at a Hampton Green ATM in Duluth, police said.

Meanwhile, on Sept. 22, police said a Forsyth County ATM was robbed, prompting Gwinnett detectives to coordinate with Forsyth's Robbery Unit.

Combined data from Flock cameras and social media led to detectives securing criminal charges against Danzil Earl, 30, of Atlanta, and Ronnie Lewis, 31, of Texas, police said.

Earl was charged on suspicion of one count of robbery, police said. Earl was arrested and booked into the Gwinnett County Jail on Nov. 27, police said.

Lewis, who is at large, has an active warrant for robbery, police said.
