Celebrate Second 1st Thursday in Duluth June 6

Historic Downtown Duluth retail merchants and restaurateurs are celebrating the second 1st Thursday June 6. They will stay open late and offer discounts and giveaways from 4 to 10 p.m.

The restaurants will offer food and drink specials.

The Mellow Jazz Trio will provide live musical entertainment. Also, food trucks will park downtown and offer specialty foods.

Shoppers will be able to buy a cocktail, beer or glass of wine from downtown restaurants and walk from shop to shop with it.

Earlier in the day, the Cottage Tea Room will offer a free non-alcoholic beverage during its lunch hours of 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

Here is a list of some of the specials and giveaways that downtown shops and restaurants are planning to offer during 1st Thursday hours June 6:

Crave Pie Studio – Drawing for a 10-inch Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Pie.

Eddie Owen Presents at Red Clay – 50% off all tickets available for purchase in-person and at the box office.

Pure Taqueria – Live music. $5 Skinny Margaritas, $4 Pure Margaritas, $3 imported beer, $2 domestic beer, $4 glass of wine (Twisted Chardonnay, Pepi Pino Grigio, and Montivena Cabernet). Half-priced appetizers (Queso Gringo, Calamari, and Fundido) and $2 tacos (chicken, pork, fish).

2 Smith Art Gallery – Free set of art cards to each customer who comes into the gallery on First Thursday. Twenty different sets of cards from which to choose. ($15 value).

The 1st Thursday promotion launched in May. The next 1^st Thursday date is Aug. 1.
