Graystone Church in Loganville Plans Day of Service

Instead of having it's congregation attend a service in its church on Sunday, it is having them go outside the church for a day of service.

, Ryan Brooks outlined a plan by Grayson Church in Loganville to use Sunday, Sept. 2, to go outside the church building and serve instead of remaining inside for a service. Brooks, himself a member of Graystone Church, quoted from the pastor, Jim Hollandsworth, on just how the congregation of Graystone Church plans to step outside the box of normal worship to serve its community.

Graystone's Missions Pastor Jim Hollandsworth explains,

"On Sunday, Sept. 2, hundreds of people from Graystone Church will be serving at various sites in the Gwinnett/Walton communities.  Instead of going to church this Sunday, we'll be serving our community. We want to put into practice one of our church values - 'Don't go to church. BE the Church!' We believe that part of what it means to love God and love others is to serve and what better way to do this than to give a couple hours of our time and energy to serving our local schools, parks, firefighters, police officers and local ministries."
