Gwinnett Man Indicted In Sex Trafficking Case: AG

If convicted, the man could be sentenced to life in prison.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A man was indicted on Oct. 19 after being accused of sex trafficking a 25-year-old woman throughout Gwinnett County, according to Attorney General Chris Carr.

Sean Curry is accused of trafficking the woman from January to August at various locations in Gwinnett, Carr's office said Tuesday.

Curry financially benefited by coercing the woman into sexual acts using threats and physical violence, according to Carr's office.

Curry is indicted on suspicion of one count of trafficking of persons for sexual servitude, according to Carr's office. If convicted, Curry could be sentenced to life in prison.

"Our Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit is working each day to stop those who abuse and exploit Georgia’s citizens for sex," Carr said in a news release. "Whether from a supply or demand perspective, anyone who engages in this criminal industry will be found and held accountable for their actions. All Georgians deserve to be safe, and we will continue fighting to end human trafficking in our state."
